The Wesley and Jane Ann Cornell Room
Wesley and Jane Ann Cornell built Plumbush in 1865. This guest room has beautiful butter yellow trellis pattern wall covering with unique furnishings. Center stage is a French themed carved wood Vera Bradley quilted headboard and footboard queen bed, matching Vera Bradley linens, European pillows and duvet. There is an antique pine chest, writing desk with unique chair, decorator design floor covering that enhances the original wide plank pine flooring. Huge walk in closet. The adjacent private Victorian bathroom has of course a claw foot tub, pedestal porcelain sink and separate large shower stall with a charming small hexagon white tile flooring that one would expect in a vintage home of this era.

The Chautauqua Room
This formal room on the second floor is decorated with the heritage of the Chautauqua Institution in mind. The walls are covered in a historic damask pattern of flower baskets with a "bird and swag" colorful border that highlights the twelve foot ceiling Guests enjoy a restful night in the massive cherry four poster king size bed. These gorgeous posts have a intricate rice carving pattern on them. A custom made armoire for traveler storage, a leather top writing desk with matching chair and wing back chair complete this very attractive room. The private bathroom equipped with shower and vintage sink has the most unique original faucets! A sense of history is felt everywhere.

The Ezra Cornell Room
The Ezra Cornell Room - Ezra Cornell the founder of Cornell University is a distant cousin of the Cornell family. This second floor room has a more gentlemanly touch with a cherry king size sleigh bed. There is also a writing desk and custom made burgundy armoire as well as an elegant three drawer black chest trimmed in natural cherry for the travelers storage needs. Notice the hand made rod iron floral design unique mirror over this chest, one of a kind! The private bath with shower attached to this room is decorated in a whimsical wall covering for the lady in mind, always in keeping of the Victorian era.

The Janeva Cornell Room
This second floor room is a favorite of many. Named after Janeva Cornell, granddaughter of Wesley Cornell. Janeva was born on this property and there are many charming stories of her time spent at this country farm. Her grandfather built a special platform on the roof outside the tower where Janeva could be found reading. The red and white French toile wall covering with children playing about brings so much life to the room. The sheer drapes with embroidered Napoleonic bees add to the whimsy of this room. There is a white rattan queen size bed with matching bed side table, writing desk and chair and soothing sage green carpet. Bi-fold doors take you into the private bath which is also decorated in the sage green and white motif, shower and white porcelain pedestal sink. Sunshine streams through the arched window.

The Green Room
Our inn keepers thought it would be remiss to not honor Sandra and George Green as they were the adventuresome couple that purchased this property in 1986 and completely restored the farm house to the working bed and breakfast that it is today. They also built the wonderful barn on the property. This second floor room has the most delicate wedge wood blue carpeting, queen size bed with carved cherry French headboard, garden multicolored floral wall covering and silk balloon shade window treatment that take one back to a country summer weekend with Grandparents. The oak chest is a family heirloom of Mary Rappole’s. A writing desk and chair provide a great spot to send off a note to those at home. Check out the unique squirrel clothes hanging rack behind the door! The private bath with shower for this room has silvery blue and white ticking wall covering.

The Innkeepers Room
This second floor guest room is at the end of the hall. Beautiful natural light enters through the three windows looking out at the sprawling meadows and hillside. The walls are newly painted in "old straw hat" yellow with sage green carpet. Bright floral drapes bring this room to life. There are twin beds with white antique Victorian headboards. Private bathroom with shower.
